Roseville Historical Society

To preserve & promote the history of Roseville

Exhibits and Collections

The museum’s collection of artifacts is large and varied. Our largest single collection involves the railroad. One entire room dedicated to train displays, including a layout that depicts old town Roseville in its earliest railroad days. There is also a small military display, historic musical instruments, kitchen appliances and tools as well as medical instruments. We also have maps of early Roseville, and many other period pieces all relating to Roseville history. The museum also houses over 100 bound volumes of the Roseville Press Tribune spanning several decades.

Exhibits and Collections

Our collection of artifacts is large and varied. Our largest single collection involves the railroad. One entire room dedicated to train displays, including a layout that depicts old town Roseville in its earliest railroad days. There is also a small military display, historic musical instruments, kitchen appliances and tools as well as a fun interactive kids area. We also have maps of early Roseville, and many other period pieces all relating to Roseville history. The Roseville Historical Society’s Exhibit & Display committee meets each month to discuss and decide upon displays and the proper method to archive each donation. We welcome your exhibit suggestions!

FIDDYMENT FAMILY CARRIAGE

Fiddyment carriage was purchased in 1906 for the sum of $56.00. It was used for two years, before the family purchased an automobile. It was then placed in storage, until it was donated to the Carnegie in 2008.
